Previously, bus elements that were not instantiated as individual nets
could not connect to each other. This caused issues for complex
schematics where busses needed to connect to other busses with elements
that resolved to the same net names. Functionally, this means mixing
bus elements, which we will replace with first-class elements in version
8 but currently can only be accomplished either by using bus aliases and
this patch or by individually instantiating each bus element as a
local label

Move the internal columns and rebuild the table when a user moves the
columns. This is the only way to fix selection issues across reordered
columns.

We eventually need to get to the point that we are able to rearrange the
columns in the internal data model to work around wxGrid selection
issues.
The simulator has advanced considerably, and it is seeing lots of active
development, so make it a required part of KiCad. Additionally, the
build without the simulator has actually been broken for a while, so no
one clearly is building without ngspice right now.

The list of candidates (names) must be restricted to existing global labels
and symbols creating a global net name: power symbols having only one power
input pin (a power output does not create net name).

Don't assume the dialog is mode-less and call Destroy() from within a
dialog method. This will most assuredly crash if the dialog is shown
modally or quasi-modally.
Don't leak memory for mode-less dialogs created on the stack. Make sure
when the parent frame window is closed that all mode-less dialog memory
is cleaned up. Dialogs are not child windows like controls and toolbars
so their memory does not automatically get cleaned up when the parent
window is destroyed.
Do not directly access frame parent window's pointer in dialog destructors.
Apparently the tear down order when destroying mode-less dialogs is not
guaranteed so the parent window may get deleted before the dialog causing
a crash when accessing the parent window pointer from the dialog dtor.
Do not close mode-less dialogs in the parent frame's destructor. This
doesn't guarantee that the dialog(s) will be destroyed before the parent
but it may reduce some careless mode-less dialog event handling in the
future.

Also fixes a bug so that voltages, currents and power dissipations are
only probed if the flag is set -- this keeps ngspice from throwing an
error if you probe something twice (for instance, if you have .probe
commands in text and turn off the auto-probing).
Remove some useless spacers, and do not force some widgets to have a to
large size (by removing empty areas).
Work in progress: one panel is still too big.
Rather than update library symbols one at a time, queue them up by
schematic symbol to prevent multiple updates to the same symbol in
complex hierarchies. This also removes all of the library symbols
first which will clear out all of the library symbol variants that
were created by modifying library symbols in place and/or changes to
the symbol in the library.
Don't add new variant library symbol if an equivalent variant already
exists in the schematic local cache. This prevents duplicate library
symbols from being added to the local cache when the first variant in
the cache does not match that of the symbol being added.

Contains the following changes:
- Adds a new ERC_SCH_PIN_CONTEXT class which is used to provide deterministic
comparison between items causing ERC violations (e.g. pins) when associated
with a SCH_SHEET_PATH context.
- Adds association of SCH_SHEET_PATHs for ERC_ITEMs and the sub-schematic items
which caused an ERC violation. This allows correct display of markers on the
sheets of interest only, and allows correct naming resolution and cross-probing
from the ERC dialog.
- Adds a new ERC_TREE_MODEL class, derived from RC_TREE_MODEL, which correctly
resolves component references across heirarchical sheets using the associated
SCH_SHEET_PATHs. This allows sheet-specific component references to be displayed
correctly in the ERC results tree.
- Updates SCH_MARKER to only draw sheet-specific markers on the sheet causing
an ERC violation.
- Increments the schematic file version.
- When loading a schematic with legacy ERC exclusions, discards those of type
ERCE_PIN_TO_PIN_WARNING, ERCE_PIN_TO_PIN_ERROR, ERCE_HIERACHICAL_LABEL, and
ERCE_DIFFERENT_UNIT_NET as there is no safe way to automatically infer the
information which is now stored with these exclusions (sheet paths for error
location and related items). Requiring users to (once) re-add exclusions is
preferable to silently incorrectly matching new ERC issues to legacy exclusions.
The pressure relief valve was not useful for common work patterns as it
forced the recalculation on many common actions such as bus expansion.
This caused it to actually feel slower than with the pressure relief
valve off.
For most schematics, realtime is now fast enough to not need the valve
and for those that are extremely complex, removing the valve helps this
run more predictably
This iterated over all pins to find the pin after a given item. Because
out pattern is consistently to iterate in the outer loop, this means
that we were an O(n^2) loop for the pins just to find their names. This
affected very large parts (e.g. FPGAs) when switching sheets to display
EDA_ITEMs are responsible for giving their parent a crack at it if
they failed to resolve it. This recurses all the way up to the schematic/
board, and then to the project.
Cross-reference handling is also move to the EDA_ITEMs. It must be done
before bubbling up so that we don't end up in loops. (The aDepth parameter
will break the loop, but without having done anything useful.)

We only need to parse the libraries for the Sim Model Editor dialog
(so that we can determine the models to put in the popup). Doing it
for netlisting just opens us up to incorrectly parsing the SPICE, and
returns no value.
This also means that a SIM_LIB_MGR manages a single library, and
never multiple libraries.
This also allows the tidying-up of some error reporting structures to
better inform the user what went wrong.

Also substitues [] vector access (which creates empty elements) over
at() (which throws if the item is not found).
The whole edit dialog is blocked while dragging if anything else is drag
selected, and if nothing is drag selected the rotations/mirroring will
be fine. Also, we already allow mirror and rotate while dragging, using
the keyboard shortcuts and menu items, and it works fine.
This is mainly for simulation testing where the dialog has to be
grown every time you restart the app, but it might as well be applied
to the similar dialogs.

It appears the dialog had already been updated to remove it from the
formbuilder project and the cpp file, but the header wasn't checked in
at the same time.
onParamGridChanged was firing before CommitPendingChanges which meant
the edited value didn't get saved if the editor was still open when
OK was clicked.
1) Finish removing pin-count based APIs. We need to know the pin names
as well, not just the count.
2) Fix a bug in the regexp for SPICE functions to allow both lowercase
and uppercase function names
3) Move CreatePins() overrides to the new API so that we get pins on

This is probably a good rule of thumb to prevent any event ordering
issues between platforms or unhandled events being trigger during
inherited object destruction.
Also removes a bunch of std::string stuff from the file handling in the
simulator. All our file handling, env variable expansion, project path,
etc. stuff is wxString based, and jumping through std::string in between
just makes it more complex and increases the potential bug surface.
Also fixes a bug where you'd get two error messages when a spice model
library wasn't found.
Also fixes a bug where you'd get a spice model library not found error
when the text field was empty.
Also fixes a bug where we'd try to absolutize a path starting with an
unresolved text or environment variable. If the path starts with a

Load the library from the path if enter is pressed or focus is lost if

This will make it possible to maintain sheet instance information when
copying and pasting from any sheet other that the root sheet of a
project.
Setting and getting sheet page numbers must now be performed using a
sheet path. This was done to ensure that the instance paths were not
getting changed unexpectedly from different code paths.
Removes the possibility of a pin getting created without a parent.
This fixes a bug where the first pin is created without a parent and then trying to reference the parent later causes a segfault.
This would happen if you click on another grid cell after changing
a value, or clicking OK in the dialog. The old value would get
saved and the new value lost.
Follow-up after the KIBIS and KIBIS GUI merge requests.

Oh dear, there was a bunch going on here. Firstly the move from int
to long long int for ValueFromString() means that we were no longer
catching overflows (as we were C-style casting it back to int in many
places). But even when the overflow is caught, it would run in to
wxWidgets' empty string bug while trying to log it.

Since 34e706bcbc it is assumed that the
shape passed in exists, so testing for a null pointer is pointless
(it will always be non-null). Also hardcode the assumption the shape is
non-null in the constructor using an assert.

This change removes the incorrect assumption that symbol pin numbers are
integers and are the same as indexes in the vector storing the symbol
pins.
"~" is now used to denote a floating sim model pin.
There is no technical reason for this restriction for non-power symbols, so let's remove it.
This will allow more flexibility and compatibility with other tools.

wxWidgets 3.1 has deprecated wxPATH_NORM_ALL when normalizing file
paths when calling wxFileName::Normalize(). This change keeps the
existing behavior except in places where our own internal
ExpandEnvVarSubstitutions() to expand environment variables.
When changing units, we might not have the original pins
available to set the Alt assignments. Instead, we search
by number and skip the pin if it doesn't exist in the
new unit

Template instantiations need to follow the template definitions or you
don't get all of the template members, just the ones called from within
the file
Unfortunately, Windows headers define a lot of macros for common words,
so we had to rename some enums to not collide.
We also fix some of the many bugs related to the new simulation
architecture and the Spice Model Editor dialog.

Don't serialize parameters in certain models for default values. Infer
models from Value field for some kinds of models. Resolve synonyms when
loading models from Spice libraries.
Rewrite the spice exporter to work with the new simulation model
architecture and data model, with many bugfixes related to the latter
two along the way.
Implement parsing and loading Spice libraries into KiCad. This is done
without any involvement of Ngspice -- we create our own in-tree parser
using PEGTL -- because Ngspice doesn't offer any intermediate output we
could plug ourselves into. We don't parse everything -- just the library
content, so this won't be that much effort.
We implement some basic Spice code preview to give the user a hint what
Spice code eir model will correspond to.
Implemented serialization and deserialization of models in symbol fields
through the SIM_VALUE class. We don't carry the Spice legacy of
case-insensitive suffixes, instead we conform to the SI standard (i.e. M
is Mega, not milli, P is peta, p is pico).
Parameter grid value validation is implemented by simply not allowing
any characters that will make the value invalid (instead of highlighting
the field in a red color). This will likely be changed at some point in
the future.
This commit adds parameter display functionality, via a wxPropertyGrid
widget, to the Sim Model Editor. To faciliate that, a SIM_VALUE class is
created to serialize, deserialize, and validate numeric values in the
new parameter grid.
SPICE_MODEL is renamed to SIM_MODEL and split into several subclasses
that correspond to different model kinds.
With that also begin reworking the internal structure of the simulation
model storage. Some models have parameter information extracted from
Ngspice, which was specially patched to faciliate that. The model is
stored and managed by the SPICE_MODEL class (later will be renamed to
SIM_MODEL).
Converts dialog_image_editor to panel_image_editor. Embeds this panel in
a new properties dialog for the schematic and PCB editors that allows
editing position, layer, locked status, etc. like other items.
ADDED: When pin length is changed now, the pin position is adjusted
according to its orientation such that the connection point for wires
moves instead of the other side of the stem base. For pins coming out of
component boxes, etc. this keeps them attached to the box while the
length is changed.
