Adam Wolf 7357424efc Update macOS to Python 3, wx 3.1, and Phoenix.
This is a work-in-progress. It could use testing while I continue to fix
the remaining pieces.

There are some changes that will be needed for signing and notarization.

This currently relies on a Python tool I wrote (dyldstyle) to fixup
KiCad.app correctly. I would like any bundle fixing necessary to use a
built KiCad on macOS to live inside KiCad, rather than in
kicad-mac-builder or elsewhere. While I was experimenting, I found this
worked, however, and I would love to get extra hands testing.

I added a CMake argument, MACOS_EXTRA_BUNDLE_FIX_DIRS, for devs and
packagers who have extra directories they need to add to
fixup_bundle on KiCad.app.

There's an issue about differing behavior when KiCad is opened via
the command line or via Finder/launchd.

Jon Evans e59a3d981e Implement a new settings framework across all of KiCad
CHANGED: Settings are now stored in versioned sub-directories
ADDED: First-run dialog for migrating settings from a previous version
CHANGED: Settings are now stored as JSON files instead of wxConfig-style INI files
CHANGED: Color settings are now all stored in a separate settings file
CHANGED: The symbol editor and footprint editor now have their own settings files
CHANGED: Color settings are no longer exposed through BOARD object
CHANGED: Page layout editor now uses Eeschema's color scheme

Settings are now managed through a central SETTINGS_MANAGER held by PGM_BASE.
Existing settings will be migrated from the wxConfig format on first run of each application.
Per-application settings are now stored in one class for each application.

jean-pierre charras 4de6ed6206 Fix issues created by Adds Save As... to the Kicad manger.
Mainly replacing std::string by wxString to manage filenames.
On Windows, a sdt::string cannot manage a filename, unless using
in many places TO_UTF8 and FROM_UTF8.
So the best way is to use a wxString for filenames and error messages.

Wayne Stambaugh 816f6db310 Pcbnew: Python scripting support clean up.
Always check the return value of PyRun_SimpleString() for errors when a
Python script is run and show an error message rather than fail silently.

Enable Python interpreter I/O redirection in debug builds so that script
string errors will be shown when PyRun_SimpleString() is called.

Do not call PyErr_Print() after a PyRun_SimpleString() call failure. It
doesn't do anything useful.

Do not call Py_Finalize() after a PyRun_SimpleString() call failure. It
seems to cause Pcbnew to crash.

jean-pierre charras 644855c5ba Fix incorrect (broken) canvas type saving in config.
The config was saving a canvas type EDA_DRAW_FRAME member not always accurately initialized.
And the last canvas opened frame setup was saved, not necessary a frame having a canvas type that can be set by user.
This is a broken feature especially because the footprint viewer has a fixed canvas setting.

Martin Aberg 27d57d9191 Generate PYTHONPATH from CMake information
The CMake scripts calculate the install path for python scripts by
  distutils.sysconfig.get_python_lib(
    plat_specific=0,
    standard_lib=0,
    prefix=''
  )
which generates a string in line with
  lib/python2.7/site-packages

This string ends up in the CMake variable PYTHON_DEST and is used by the
install step as destination directory for pcbnew.py.

There has been a hard-coded assumption on the content of that string in
PcbNew which is not compatible with FreeBSD 11.1.

This commit eliminates the hard-coded assumption in PcbNew and reuses
the install path as known by CMake.
