ADD: User can now decide to keep the hierarchy navigator open while working
on a schematic.
This behavior can be configured in eeschema->preferences->eeschema->Editing options.
ADDED: a config option to select (when clicking on a pin) the parent symbol
or only the pin.
Previously, when cliking on a pin, the parent symbol was selected.
Allowing the pin selection is mandatory in cross probing, and to display the pin
characteristics in some cases, for instance if a pin is flagged by the ERC tooL.
ADDED new option to set selection highlight thickness.
Also change selection shadow width constants to
make the selection thickness change less drastically
with the zoom level.
Add missing check for root sheet when searching sheet hierarchies for
already loaded schematics. This prevents the root sheet from being
omitted when adding new sheets using the root sheet file name.
CHANGED: Make file name tests case sensitive so that schematic sheet
file names on non-Windows systems can be uses as expected.
Warn users when attempting to use schematic file names that only vary
by case sensitivity that doing so will result in a project that is not
portable to Windows.

Note that since the markup might exist for other reasons, it has
to be turned on with a preference setting. (It goes through a set
of bitflags so the same architecture can be used for other markup
structures that we might want to support in the future.)
Note also that this is more about engineering nomenclature than
visual formatting. In that respect it's more similar to overbar
than italic or bold.
Check for symbol libraries that somehow ended up in the project file
after remapping occurred and remove all of them to prevent potentially
broken symbol library links.
Add nagware dialog to warn the user and a checkbox to never show the
dialog again.

Dynamic casts should only be used when we explicitly check for the
resulting pointer to be NULL. Where we know the class is castable we
can use static_cast, save on overhead and ensure our resulting pointer
is non-null.
Step 1 of the g_UserUnit global eradication. This commit includes
basic hookup of hotkeys, units tool-buttons and grid dialogs.

Empty project path is a valid case when eeschema is executed in
standalone mode without any file loaded.
There were no observed harmful consequences of running eeschema without
the project path set, but to stay safe the project specific
sym-lib-table load code is executed only when the project path is set.
Unifies the different sections of hotkeys so that we are not storing two
[eeschema] or [pcbnew] sections in two different files.
Previous hotkey definitions are loaded at start if they exist but are
overwritten by the new format, if it exists. Changes to hotkeys save
only in the combined format.
Hotkey editor for each application only shows the hotkeys relevant to
that application.

This is meant as a stopgap for 5.0, with plans to add proper scaled
icons in the 6.0 cycle. A function KiScaledBitmap() is added, which
works like KiBitmap() except it scales the bitmap according to the
calling window's font size. Controls have been added to all the main
applications to let the user select scaling manually (these were omitted
from smaller apps that didn't already have a place to put them).
In addition, in eeschema only, the pixel height of the system font is
shown in the options dialog for diagnostics. This is only for collecting
feedback before 5.0 release from users with different displays and will
be removed.
The GTK+ file dialog is case sensitive however it does support regular
expressions. Most of the file dialog wildcards are lower case so only
files with the lower case extensions will show up in the file dialog.
This code adds a method to convert file extensions of any case to the
appropriate (sch -> [sS][cC][hH]) regular expression on GTK+ builds so
all file extension case combinations will show up in the file dialog.
A note to developers: make sure to add a file extension when setting
when setting the default file argument. If you do don't set an
extension, the GTK+ file dialog will happily append the regular
expression as the file extension which is surely not what you want.
There are still a few known places (mostly gerbview) where there are
some complex wildcard code that has not been converted.

Remove all symbol libraries from the project file after remapping to
prevent symbols that should be loaded from the cache being loaded from
a library further up the search order. Save the project file to clear
all of the libraries so they never get reloaded again.

For some reason, the schematic symbol library link was being regenerated
every time the schematic was redrawn in SCH_SCREEN::Draw(). Remove the
re-link call from the Draw() and Plot() functions.
Add function the SCH_SCREENS to update the links in all of the schematic
sheets.
Update all schematic sheet symbol library links whenever the symbol
library list is modified or any library in the library list is modified.
That should cover all cases where the symbol library links could be
broken.
Refresh schematic window after applying library changes to update any
possible symbol changes.
Add KIWAY message to update the schematic when symbol library changes
could change the schematic. The KIWAY mail was used because the schematic
frame is not a parent of the symbol library editor so wxEvents cannot be
used.
eeschema now supports arbitrary colors for all object types, and
pcbnew does in GAL canvas. When switching from GAL to legacy canvas,
pcbnew will convert colors to the nearest legacy color.
netlist generation: remove option "replace IC and U ref by X" (broken option).
All component refs are now prefixed by the Spice_Primitive field value.
Therefore the netlist used by Kicad ngsipce simulator and the spice netlist generated from dialog are the same.
(note: like previously, forbidden chars like ( and ) are replaced by _ in netnames)
This feature was not reliably available: neither pl_editor nor GAL supported
it. It has been replaced over the past few commits with a new zoom-to-selection
tool available in all applications and modes.
* wxFileDialog ctor was setting the file name using the most recently used
path which was incorrect. Set the file path parameter to the most recently
used path and the file name parameter to an empty string.
* Remove last used import path and use the application wide most recently
path instead.
* Remove last used export path and use the application wide most recently

* Add code to allow each editing window it's own undo/redo count.
* Add code to allow for infinite undo/redo when count is set to 0.

Now these parameters are stored in user config, not project config ( they are not really related to a given project, they are just a setup during an edition),

When the filename is not absolute, the page layout file is now searched first in project folder, and then in kicad template folder, if not found in project.
Fix issue when using a page layout file in project folder: eeschema and Pcbnew did not use it, unless using an absolute path.
Now, if the file path is nor absolute, it is seen as relative to the project (which is the expected behavior)
fp lib wizard: when pcbnew id compiled with USE_GITHUB_PLUGIN=OFF, the github plugin option is no more accessible (and the web viewer no more used).
