Wayne Stambaugh ede39780e2 Remove all debugging output that cannot be disabled.
The use of printf, wxLogDebug, and std::err/std::out causes excessive
debugging output which makes finding specific debugging messages more
difficult than it needs to be.

There is still some debugging output in test code that really needs to
be moved into a unit test.

Add debugging output section to the coding policy regarding debugging
output.

Jeff Young 393bb0fd83 Fix assert where geometry routine wasn't ready to handle layers.
This introduces layer handling to a lot of the geometry routines.
Many of them don't do much with it now, but it does help multi-layer
zones and will help when padstacks are implemented.

Jeff Young 463100d67f Remove a long-standing hack to keep divots out of adjacent zones.
The new algorithm unions any adjacent zones before doing the
chamfer/fillet and then subtracts the other zones back out afterwards.

Add more conservative clipping of silkscreen layers around vias.
Clips at outside of annular ring rather than outside of copper plating.

Jeff Young d01b29ab37 Cleanup pad geometry handling.
There were a lot of plotters, exporters, etc. that were rolling their
own implementations.

This also introduces a lazily-built set of SHAPE objects for doing
collision detection and some forms of rendering (and later DRC).

Jeff Young 5134856f18 Rationalise 3D settings data-structure.
Move the camera out to its own so that everything else is board-
related, and then rename BOARD_ADAPTER.

At some point the flags should probably be moved out too, and they
can have the EDA_3D_SETTINGS name.

Jeff Young d69ebfae49 Push tool framework base down into TOOL_HOLDER.
This allows us to use it outside of EDA_BASE_FRAMEs (in this case, in
PANEL_PREVIEW_3D.)

Seth Hillbrand ddc6079ceb Move remaining hard-coded segment counts
This removes the remaining hard-coded segments counts and replaces them
with the relative error calculation where the segments per arc is
determined by the maximum error we allow (smaller arcs = fewer segments)

Jeff Young 1ae47b6069 Implement a copper-to-edge-clearance setting.
For legacy boards, the setting is picked up from the board outline
thickness.  If the board outline has mixed thicknesses, then the
max is used and a warning is displayed.

Seth Hillbrand 1e5ba6f1b1 Replace DIM() macro
The standard DIM() macro was not typesafe as it happily deferred errors
to runtime that can be caught at compile time.  Replacing it with a
generic C++11 constexpr allows for typecasting, comparison and compile
time error checking.

Seth Hillbrand f8784f30a8 Removing OpenMP
This commit finishes the removal of OpenMP from the KiCad codebase.
Removed in this commit are the OpenMP calls in 3d-viewer and
qa/polygon_triangulation as well as all references in CMakeLists.txt

std::thread is used instead for multithreaded computation

Jon Evans a52250a91e Change from EDA_COLOR_T to COLOR4D globally; arbitrary color support
eeschema now supports arbitrary colors for all object types, and
pcbnew does in GAL canvas.  When switching from GAL to legacy canvas,
pcbnew will convert colors to the nearest legacy color.

Dick Hollenbeck 0c459ced97 EDA_TEXT object refactor.
Make all EDA_TEXT data private and rename accessors to avoid function
name collisions in derived classes.

Overload EDA_TEXT's SetTextAngle() and SetEffects() in TEXTE_PCB.

Add support for preserving Reference text position, size, orientation
during a netlist import into a BOARD, as well as the one off footprint
update dialog.

* Split and rewrite the preview window and canvas.
* Create a new class for handling the board information.
* Adds new render targets: openGL, legacy, and ray tracing.

* Faster board loading.
* New OpenGL render is faster than the old one.
* New ray tracing render target with a post processing shader.
* Use of new 3D plugins (WRL, X3D, STEP and IGES) and 3D model caching.
* Preview of 3D model while browsing the file name.
* 3D preview of the footprint while adding / align 3D shapes.
* Render of 3D models according to attributes: Normal, Normal+Insert, Virtual.
* Pivot rotation centered in one point over the PCB board.
* Shortcuts keys improved for XYZ orientation..
* Animated camera.
