Seth Hillbrand aeedb3543b pcbnew: Update strings
Moving pcbnew error strings that may be seen by the user to translated
strings.  Strings that denote unexpected cases are moved to debug logs
as they are essentially asserts that should never be shown.  The
exceptions are the messages shown when files are loaded.  All unknown
items should show an error here.

Seth Hillbrand 26765161c1 drc: Add board outline and edge crossing
This adds a check for contiguous board outlines to the DRC.  It also
uses the calculated outline to ensure that traces are not crossing the
outlines.

Jeff Young 0e3919e7aa Fix DRC & zone filling for copper text in footprints.

Jeff Young 3e190cee4b Implement selection brightening for DRC.
The old item pointers (which aren't safe to keep around) were
removed in favour of opaque references (void*) which are then
compared against existing items when needed.

Also improves brightening by brightening the whole footprint
(ie: its pads, drawings, reference and value) rather than just
its target cross.

jean-pierre charras 0b8cf93888 Pcbnew, On line DRC in legacy canvas: Fix broken Drc test during track and zone creation or edition.
It was broken by commit c78171d01f.
During creation, the Drc must only display a error message, and do not create markers.
Markers are created only during a full board DRC test.
commit c78171d01f replaced this behavior by a incorrect one (create markers and do not show error messages)

Seth Hillbrand 73408f3f21 Correct DRC calculation on segments
If objects are at the clearance limit, they qualify as passing DRC.
Therefore, all comparison functions that indicate failure should be
strictly greater than or less than while all comparison functions that
indicate success (in the DRC) should be greater/equal or less/equal.

This also corrects a rounding error at the nm scale and handles
scaling zero-length and large segments correctly.

jean-pierre charras 2c56085f41 Drc calculations fix a minor issue that detected a bad clearance when distance between a circle and a segment was the clearance value.
Also, give a margin of 1 nanometer during DRC calculations to avoid false error DRC detection due to rounding issues.

Simon Schubert c1b8a01e03 pcbnew: simplify pad DRC
This simplifies the pad DRC significantly and fixes a bug when two pads
are close to each other in a right angle, when the edge distances are
below the clearance, but the corner distance is actually above the
clearance:

<Chris> Pad DRC has handling for trapezoid pads and handling for square
pads. This patch looks relatively low-risk to me, as square is a subset
of trapezoid and the handling for trapezoid pads is not specific to that
pad type.

jean-pierre charras 4fc230b773 Rework on Enum PAD_SHAPE_T, PAD_DRILL_SHAPE_T and PAD_ATTR_T (see rev 6008) : the new and better names are now used in Kicad code and existing python scripts.
PAD_SHAPE_T  and PAD_ATTR_T still have a double definition (new names and old names) to be sure python scripts are nor broken by the change.
 PAD_DRILL_SHAPE_T does not  have a double definition, because it is unlikely oblong holes are used in python scripts.
Double definitions will be removed in the (next) future.

Dick Hollenbeck 4578ea8b9e 1) Add 32 Cu Layers.
2) Change from legacy Cu stack to counting down from top=(F_Cu or 0).
   The old Cu stack required knowing the count of Cu layers to make
   sense of the layer number when converting to many exported file types.
   The new Cu stack is more commonly used, although ours still gives
   B_Cu a fixed number.
3) Introduce class LSET and enum LAYER_ID.
4) Change *.kicad_pcb file format version to 4 from 3.
5) Change fixed names Inner1_Cu-Inner14_Cu to In1_Cu-In30_Cu and their
   meanings are typically flipped.
6) Moved the #define LAYER_N_* stuff into legacy_plugin.cpp where they
   can die a quiet death, and switch to enum LAYER_ID symbols throughout.
7) Removed the LEGACY_PLUGIN::Save() and FootprintSave() functions.
   You will need to convert to the format immediately, *.kicad_pcb and
   *.kicad_mod (=pretty) since legacy format was never going to know
   about 32 Cu layers and additional technical layers and the reversed Cu
   stack.

Maciej Suminski d9eb15c9fa Moved NETCLASSES to BOARD_DESIGN_SETTINGS.
Most of the changes are just adding GetDesignSettings() before every occurence of m_NetClasses.
More complex changes:
class_netclass.cpp - NETCLASS does not store the pointer to the parent BOARD anymore. Added function SetParams( BOARD_DESIGN_SETTINGS& ).
class_netclass.h - Removed GetTrackMinWidth(), GetViaMinDiameter(), GetViaMinDrill(), GetuViaMinDiameter(), GetuViaMinDrill() as they were refering to BOARD_DESIGN_SETTINGS anyway (they are not net class specific).
kicad_plugin.cpp - filters out empty nets (that are anyway not saved) when storing net class information. Previously it was done in NETCLASS::Format() function.

Dick Hollenbeck 2c67c3ff80 * KIWAY Milestone A): Make major modules into DLL/DSOs.
!   The initial testing of this commit should be done using a Debug build so that
    all the wxASSERT()s are enabled.  Also, be sure and keep enabled the
    USE_KIWAY_DLLs option.  The tree won't likely build without it.  Turning it
    off is senseless anyways.  If you want stable code, go back to a prior version,
    the one tagged with "stable".

*   Relocate all functionality out of the wxApp derivative into more finely
    targeted purposes:
    a) DLL/DSO specific
    b) PROJECT specific
    c) EXE or process specific
    d) configuration file specific data
    e) configuration file manipulations functions.

    All of this functionality was blended into an extremely large wxApp derivative
    and that was incompatible with the desire to support multiple concurrently
    loaded DLL/DSO's ("KIFACE")s and multiple concurrently open projects.
    An amazing amount of organization come from simply sorting each bit of
    functionality into the proper box.

*   Switch to wxConfigBase from wxConfig everywhere except instantiation.
*   Add classes KIWAY, KIFACE, KIFACE_I, SEARCH_STACK, PGM_BASE, PGM_KICAD,
    PGM_SINGLE_TOP,
*   Remove "Return" prefix on many function names.
*   Remove obvious comments from CMakeLists.txt files, and from else() and endif()s.
*   Fix building boost for use in a DSO on linux.
*   Remove some of the assumptions in the CMakeLists.txt files that windows had
    to be the host platform when building windows binaries.
*   Reduce the number of wxStrings being constructed at program load time via
    static construction.
*   Pass wxConfigBase* to all SaveSettings() and LoadSettings() functions so that
    these functions are useful even when the wxConfigBase comes from another
    source, as is the case in the KICAD_MANAGER_FRAME.
*   Move the setting of the KIPRJMOD environment variable into class PROJECT,
    so that it can be moved into a project variable soon, and out of FP_LIB_TABLE.
*   Add the KIWAY_PLAYER which is associated with a particular PROJECT, and all
    its child wxFrames and wxDialogs now have a Kiway() member function which
    returns a KIWAY& that that window tree branch is in support of.  This is like
    wxWindows DNA in that child windows get this member with proper value at time
    of construction.
*   Anticipate some of the needs for milestones B) and C) and make code
    adjustments now in an effort to reduce work in those milestones.
*   No testing has been done for python scripting, since milestone C) has that
    being largely reworked and re-thought-out.

Renamed BOARD_CONNECTED_ITEM::SetNet() -> SetNetCode()
Added BOARD_CONNECTED_ITEM::GetNet() for accessing NETINFO_ITEM* of a given item.
Fixed module editor crash when launched to edit a module from a PCB.
Replaced some BOARD::FindNet( item->GetNet() ) calls with BOARD_CONNECTED_ITEM::GetNet().

Lorenzo Marcantonio d00c83cde9 Migrated the interfaces accepting angles to the double type
The plan goes like this:
- eeschema still uses int in decidegrees
- all the other things internally use double in decidegrees (or radians
  in temporaries)
- in pcbnew UI the unit is *still* int in decidegrees

The idea is to have better precision everywhere while keeping the user with int i
angles. Hopefully, if a fractional angle doesn't come in from the outside, everything
should *look* like an integer angle (unless I forgot something and it broke)

When the time comes, simply updating the UI for allowing doubles from the user should
be enough to get arbitrary angles in pcbnew.

Lorenzo Marcantonio 0e903dba5b Angle and distances cleanup (preparing for angles in doubles)
- Removed spurious int casts (these are truncated anyway and will break
  doubles)

- Applied the Distance, GetLineLength, EuclideanNorm, DEG2RAD, RAD2DEG
  ArcTangente and NORMALIZE* functions where possible

- ArcTangente now returns double and handles the 0,0 case like atan2, so
  it's no longer necessary to check for it before calling

- Small functions in trigo moved as inline

jean-pierre charras 78a8be0e8e Pcbnew: fix a very old bug in DRC, pad to pad drc tests: sometimes a test between a rectangular pad and an oval pad was skipped.
Segment Hit Test: enhanced detection near segment ends (noticeable for instance when clicking on short tracks in Pcbnew.
Remove duplicate code about segment hit test.
remove unused file.
